Introduction
The BMW E30 is the second generation of BMW 3 Series, produced from 1982 to 1994 it replaced the E21 3 Series. The model range included 2-door coupe and convertible body styles as well as being the first 3 Series to be produced in 4-door sedan and estate body styles.
At the Frankfurt Motor Show in September 1987, BMW introduced a major update to the E30 (often called Series the 2). The changes to the lineup were the addition of the Touring (station wagon) variant and removal of the 325e model. The 1987 update models remained largely unchanged until the end of production, with the addition of the 318is model in 1989.
External styling changes included redesigned rear lights, front bumper and a reduction in the amount of chrome trim. The four-cylinder engine was upgraded from the BMW M10 to the BMW M40 and various other mechanical changes were made. Rust protection was improved with the update.

Description
Supplied new by Cowies of Stockton on 24th May 1990, this E30 3 Series is genuinely, virtually indistinguishable from a new one.
I have always thought that cars talk to you, and once again, this one screams its originality and outstanding condition from the moment you walk up to it, with just a few tiny marks and imperfections suggesting it is perhaps only a couple of years old, it’s hard to believe it’s actually 33 years old now !
Retained by the original, Doctor owner from new until his passing in 2022, it has seen very little use but evidently a great amount of care, always garaged, it doesn’t look to have seen a salty road, the rear seats don’t look to have ever been sat in and the original carpets are also untouched thanks to three carpet offcuts which were protecting them when I bought it !
Looked after by the supplying dealer all of its life until I bought and sold it to the second owner around a year ago, the supplying dealer also carried out every MOT test, every year, until 2021.
The interior is like new, the boot doesn’t look to have ever carried anything, then under the boot floor where the unused spare wheel with original tyre and tool kit remain.
If you are looking for an outstanding, original example, this is surely it and absolutely must be viewed to be appreciated. I doubt there are many, if any, that present as originally as this car does. As the saying goes, they’re only original once – and 33 years on, this one still is, its absolutely delightful – so delightful in fact that I’d be more than happy to keep it !
Complete with its Wallet, Handbook, Service Book, Spare Keys and a nice file of invoices, SORN declarations and previous MOT Certificates.
