Introduction
The Ferrari F355 Berlinetta was introduced in May 1994, as the first in a successful series of F355 models.
Initially, the 6-speed manual was the only transmission available. However, in 1997, the Berlinetta was the first-ever road car to be equipped with the innovative F1-style gearbox management system. Derived directly from Formula 1, where it made its debut in 1989 resulting in a win at the Brazilian Grand Prix, the electro-hydraulic system is operated by paddles behind the steering wheel using the F355’s conventional 6-speed manual gearbox.
The new transmission guaranteed faster gear changes, with the additional advantage that both of the driver’s hands could stay on the wheel at all times.
Ferrari produced 4,871 road-going Berlinetta models during the entire production run, of which 3,829 were equipped with the 6-speed manual and 1,042 with F1 transmissions.
In the UK 496 Berlinetta’s were delivered, of which just 88 were fitted with F1 Transmission.

We are delighted to offer this very special, 2 owner Ferrari 355 F1 Berlinetta
A car I have known for over 20 years whilst in the custody of its second, very particular owner.
Supplied new by Lancaster Ferrari Colchester on 8th August 1998, the first owner only kept the car for 2 months when it was sold to the second owner in October 1998.
Always meticulously maintained and used sparingly in the summer, this delightfully specified example has led a most sheltered life, serviced almost every year despite its very low annual mileage up to October 2017 when illness meant it was virtually unused until being recommissioned in July 2020.
Presented in outstanding condition, with only the odd mark commensurate with its age and mileage, this surely has to be one of the lowest mileage, lowest owner 355’s in existence in the UK with a virtually complete history file including every invoice, MOT certificate and owners correspondence since new.
Complete with its original book pack, spare keys and remote controls, history file and tool kit.
